Catering? Again?

I am catering a party for my neighbor tomorrow. How did I get involved in this? It seems to go on forever and get s in the way of my life. I volunteered this morning for 5 Rivers and that was nice, talking to artists, feeling useful. It is the weekend of Arts Downtown and All Around which is a big local collaborative art show. We have worked hard on getting the publicity out. Seemed to be a good showing. I didn't get a chance to go to the studios as I had planned. I had hoped to go to some of the group shows but, c'est la vie.
But here is this party. It is only for for thirty and probably won't last long. The menu is poached salmon, grilled chorizo and sausage selection, blanched asparagus and mixed vegetables, chicken pate, baked brie, oriental rumaki (water chesnuts wrapped in bacon), a little bit of everything. Technically I could do all these things with my eyes shut but in this day my kitchen is no longer equipped and it is taking a long time to do all the cooking. I would rather be looking at art.
